IMG_4977Well, we had our Oktoberfest function yesterday, and it was an absolute success. The gingerbreads were extremely well received and everyone thought it was a great gesture.

Further, your packing was so good, that we didn’t have a single breakage. We were so impressed.

The blue icing that you used was identical to the Bavarian blue of our Oktoberfest decorations, and they really were such a great touch to have on the day. I almost forgot to mention that a few people who had polished theirs off already mentioned how delicious they were too!

Again, thank you so much for interpreting our brief so well, and helping us inject a bit of Oktoberfestivity into our day! Attached are some photos for your interest! A pity I didn’t manage to get one with someone wearing (or eating) their lebkuchenherzen.

The edible bouquet became the talking point of the party…..mum and dad were just amazed to see their photos on the gingerbread, and kept going back and looking at it, and showing all of the guests who arrived.  I don’t know if they will be able to bring themselves to eat their “faces” but I think it will be displayed for quite some time !!!!  As i suspected, they had never seen anything like that , and it was such a treat for them !!!!!

budget gingerbread 2I just had to write to you and let you know how delighted my grandchildren were with the gingerbread house I purchased from you.

We used the house as the centrepiece on the Christmas table and all my guests and grandchildren were absolutely besotted with the house and the decoration. The icicles were amazing and tasted so good!

When it came time to  break open the house, the excitement and squeals of laughter from the grandchildren will be something I will cherish for a long time.

The house was demolished in no time and enjoyed by all.  I think next year I’ll have to buy the large house and it certainly will be our new Christmas family traditional to break the house all together at Christmas.

We took one over to Abu Dhabi with us for our 5 year  old grandson and his eyes popped out of his head when he saw it.

He is a  ginger bread addict and he claimed yours was the best gingerbread he  has ever tasted!
